I’m learning that I’m one of the more organized people when it comes to my email management. This week has been crazy at work, so it’s a necessity.
I’ve got a large email folder of sales from shops I like, and I’m opening it up. My new project is a moderated sale list. Check it if you want to unsubscribe from all your retailer mailing lists, or if you’d like to know if you should buy today or wait a few for a big purchase. You can get to it via the new sidebar link, or by navigating to http://thesalelist.robksawyer.com. Enjoy, and I’m taking submissions 24/7.

The first person to go for it will get an extra $25 on top. Because I like guinea pigs and could never get one as a kid. :) I’ll notify you if you’re the first.

Because I’m so fascinated by the parts and fabrics that go into garments, I decided to start a journal to keep track of the ones that I find interesting. My new journal is called The Working Parts and you can find it at http://theworkingparts.tumblr.com.

I’m not a man that sits down for three days straight with a bag of Cheetos and some Mountain Dew to play a tournament that involves intense hand coordination and malice towards thirteen year olds that will beat you. But I did lend a hand (more like my pinkie finger) in helping my friend M create a new gaming site—an iPhone gaming site. The idea is straight forward; it tracks game achievements for iPhone games.
So if you’re really into iPhone games and you’re stuck on a particular level or goal, you might use this site to try to figure out how to get past a hurdle. The site allows you to do this by offering achievement instructions and tips from other users that will help you.
Check it out at http://iphone.gameachievements.org/.

Look how pretty!
I should thank the guy who created this font, and this guy too, for the RT button thingy.
It goes without saying that this must look like shit in an ancient browser (I have not and will not test it in IE). But if you’re too stupid to not upgrade, you don’t deserve my pretty design.
Actually… by “ancient browser”, I mean anything other than a webkit based one. Enjoy.

I’m a suckah for a good single-serving site. I used it this morning while sipping on a new favorite coffee from Extracto (I plan to do a review later).

I decided to spend a little time on the design for my Motors & Soles site over the weekend and I thought I’d share the results. I’d also like to mention that I’m always accepting submissions. So if you have a great motor and sole pair that you’d like to see on the site, add them by sending an email here.

Despite all of the present opening this past weekend, I created a new site. It’s called wrdsmith and it simply holds words. You can find it at wrdsmith.com. I started the site because I wanted a place to store words that I liked. I also wanted access to the definition by simply clicking on the word. And so that’s what I built.
If there are any features that you think I should add, or, if you have any ideas for the site, email me. There’s also a feedback tab on the site so that you can leave feedback there too.

I started the site Motors and Soles today (I copied some of the design from Put This On—maybe they’ll forgive me. If not, I’ll be redesigning the site, I suppose.). And it’s a site that contains shoes paired with motor vehicles. I was inspired to create the site after seeing a pair of monk shoes with a toe cap that had a different tone of leather than the body. Later in the evening I saw a Chevrolet Nova with an unpainted front fender—this slight color difference and placement lit the fire. So I plan to find subtleties in shoes that match motor vehicles, or vice versa. Also, I’m taking combos, so if you have any, use the link in the sidebar of the site to submit them. Enjoy.
