K and I watched Beer Wars this weekend and it really opened my eyes to how large a share of the market Anheuser Busch actually owns. The documentary also goes into great detail about the beer distribution model in place in the US. My only complaint was that there weren’t enough interviews conducted with Portland brewers, but there were a few notable brew lords interviewed throughout the documentary. Those included Sam Adams (the Samuel Adams) and Sam Caligione (from Dogfish). Watch it.
I just came from a pre-screening of Hot Tub Time Machine and it made my night. Hot chicks (“chicks man…” [in the voice of Joel McHale]), men acting like jackasses, and a crazy ass plot. This movie made me LOL.

Sundance is over and K, who loves movies, has posted a nice little wrap up over on her movie blogĀ Condensed Critics. I’d definitely recommend you watch the trailer for Last Train Home. It’s a documentary that captures the struggles of over 100 million migrant Chinese workers making their way home during their one vacation of the year.
