I love dead stock shizz. I love it even more when dead stock fabric is reincarnated into neckwear. If you’re like me, check out what The Windmill Club is bringing into this world. Most options can be snagged for a proper sixty-eight bones.

The new GQ dropped today. The Penny-Pincher’s Guide to Better Style has some nice tips and a list of garb that you can snag for cheap. So in the sprit of saving a few dollars, here’s a striped tie that’s solid alpaca. And for £25 ($38.13), I think it’s a deal.
This tie’s materials are all sourced local to the UK and spun by John Arbon’s Coldharbour Mill. While browsing around the mill’s website, I ran across a few solid versions of the tie above that also look mighty fine. The simple contrasting edge that sits at the bottom of these solid colored ties looks reminds me of The Hill-Side ties—but these are made of alpaca.
After you buy all of these, you might realize that you don’t own an alpaca bow tie. Well, Olch has you covered.
This Hermès orange leather tie is Pimp Luscious approved. It’s on eBay.
To win this pre-owned hunter green and burgundy striped Polo neck tie, just leave a comment. At the end of the week (Friday morning) I’ll randomly select a winner. It’d also be neat to see how you’d use this tie in a Polyvore set, so if you make one add your link when you comment. Here’s a link to the tie that you can use to make a set in Polyvore.
To get your creative juices flowing, I’ve decided to create my own Polyvore set.

It’s not exactly a winter look, but I ran across this tie the other day and figured it was too good not to play around with. And here’s a look for you gentlemen:

Pierrepont Hicks is a husband and wife startup and I think they’ve started off right. They currently are offering ties and bow ties in a range of natural fibers such as Italian wool, Diponi silk, and the site mentions that a 100% cashmere will be coming in soon.
They’re priced right too. The Mackers Classic shown above is currently eighty-nine bones.
