I just came from a pre-screening of Hot Tub Time Machine and it made my night. Hot chicks (“chicks man…” [in the voice of Joel McHale]), men acting like jackasses, and a crazy ass plot. This movie made me LOL.

The weather outside on Friday was fantastic. It was a perfect day for sundaes at Cool Moon and some photos in the park. I also picked up some pretty nice chambray shirts; my favorite is the Dunderdon collarless pullover. K tried to get me to do a photo sesh wearing all of them at once—I might at a later date.

On Saturday K and I rode bikes all day. We rode over to Mississippi Ave. for tacos with friends at ¿por qué no?. After lunch we played around on the tire swing that’s located at the corner of Mississippi Ave. and N Fremont St. We then rode back through Waterfront Park where we cooled off our bikes with a swim in the new fountain.

Remember those purple mocs that were all the rage on The Sartorialist a couple of years ago? Well, if you weren’t able to find any of those purple Tods mocs, Paul Smith has just dropped the purple Marcello loafer and it’s sure to satisfy.

I’d advise against these if you’re already at your maximum flair count. And I’d recommend going for the more traditional Crockett & Jones Cavendish. Also, take a look at the nice roundup from Lawrence over at Sartorially Inclined.

Today I somehow got on the subject of eyelets in watch bands (I know, I know—super technical, right?) and I ran across this post that led me to Griffin & Cooke. Their color and pattern selection of watch bands is pretty awesome. And according to the user in the askandyaboutclothes forum, they use a quality grommet/eyelet that’s similar to those that Brooks Brothers uses.

Update: I found a helpful tip on their site to prevent fraying on grosgrain watch bands. Pick up a bottle of Fray Check, which is available from most craft/sewing/notion shops.
