Friday was a good mail day. The new GQ and Monocle arrived. I also finally received a couple of watches that I’d ordered. I’m not usually into the whole unboxin’ thing, but one of the packages was just too cool. I was one of those stamp collecting kids and so when I saw the package had stamps, well, I got all giddy.

I know you’re anxious, so I’ll tell you, the package contained a NOS (that’s new old stock/dead stock to those of you who aren’t eBay Power Sellers) automatic Tissot Seastar with a TV-styled case. I chose to bid on this watch because I really liked the, with the lack of a better word, bizarreness of it. The dial color captured me along with the wacky looking case.

I’m not going to talk about the other watch now because I’m taking it to get serviced and cleaned, but I’ll be sure to mention it when it returns. If you’re curious, it’s a Rado.
