I’m not sure where I plan to go with these clothing guides other than that I just plan to create them for people and or characters whose style I fancy. I hope you’d agree that Simon Doonan has some serious style. If you’re not familiar with him, he’s the creative director behind Barney’s and his memoirs have been adapted to a BBC television show titled Beautiful People.
In the photo above he’s sporting what looks to be the distinctively textured grenadine tie. The texture of the grenadine weave is known to add visual interest and the solid wine color of the tie fits nicely into what looks to be a floral Paul Smith button down. And to finish off the outfit, Simon has balanced it with a black trench and a monogramed Goyard tote. Respect that kiddies.
